Factory Authorized ACR EPIRB Battery Replacement

We service and replace batteries on any ACR EPIRB or PLB and reprogram any ACR 406 MHz EPIRB or PLB. These batteries are not available for general public purchase — specialized equipment, software, and manufacturer training is required to perform a battery replacement.

Battery Replacement Service Includes

  • New battery (service life varies by device model)
  • Full pressure test
  • Leak test
  • Full transmission service test on ACR test equipment
  • New labels (if necessary)
  • New NOAA registration forms (if necessary)
  • New O-rings and washers
  • Full water activation test
  • Weight test
  • Proof-of-passing certificate certifying programming and functionality
  • New pull string, tab and cord (if applicable)

PLB 10 through PLB 200

Turnaround Time

Up to 2 weeks upon receipt of EPIRB at our facility depending on current battery stock levels.

Legal Requirement

Regulations require that EPIRB batteries be replaced by a factory authorized service center unless specifically designed to be user-replaceable.
